Are You Ready to Receive

Every season in our lives we face many troubles and successes. Some feel as if more trouble has landed at their doorstep than victory. But today is a new day and God is moving forward. We have the opportunity to move in the things of God, but are we in position? Are we ready to act when God says go, or are we too distracted by today’s problems and yesterday’s mistakes? What happens when God is ready to throw a blessing our way and our hands are full with our past? What happens when we aren’t open to receive?

In his word God says, “I know the plans I have for you…” Is it possible that we are unaware of those plans? Is it possible that the things we thought was for us isn’t ours and the things we think our out of our grasp is what God has for us? God’s plan for us is greater than our expectation and when we begin to expect the unexpected, we open ourselves up to God’s divine power.

I’m not a baseball fan or expert, but I have played the sport on occasion just for fun. But, one thing I do know, if the ball is thrown to you and you don’t move with an open mitt in hand, you’ll miss what was meant for you. No other base is relevant except the one you’re at right now. The ball is coming your way, are you open to receive it?

Distractions and fear are the biggest foes in our lives. When God moves it is all about timing and readiness. We miss our chances a lot of the time, focusing on what we think we are capable of. We miss our chances, looking back at the mistakes we made in the past. We miss our chances, harboring anger and bitterness at others in our lives. Let it go! Let God do what he does best and give him the wheel of your life. What is better to pass a course on the first take or fail and have to retake the course? God reroutes us until we get it right, but let’s not wait on that. Let’s make ourselves ready to receive what he has for us. Put aside the fear! Let go of the anger! Relinquish your will and grab a hold of his and see how God blesses you. Eyes have not seen, ears have not hear, neither has it enter the heart of man the things God has in store for you. Batter’s up and the blessing is on its way are you ready?
